Stop calling clients one by one; let the reminder go out on its own.
You switch the notification on once and decide the hour it goes out. The reminder reaches the client the day before the booking; if you want to write something specific to that booking, you tick it while saving.
Who it is for
For salons piling up empty slots because of no-shows, who do their reminders by hand.
- Salons calling or messaging one by one before the booking day
- Businesses wanting to bring the number of no-shows down
- Waxing and treatment centres with clients who come at regular intervals
- Anyone who wants a record of who sent a message and who it went to
You set the hour, the rest follows the setting
A reminder is a setting, not a job set up one at a time. You switch the notification on and write the hour the message should go out to suit your salon; the client gets the reminder at that hour the day before the booking.
- The reminder notification is switched on or off in the salon settings
- The sending hour is set to suit the salon, not asked again on every booking
- The reminder goes out the day before the booking
- Records coming from online booking follow the same setting
You can write a message for one specific booking
Beyond the general setting, a send can be made for the booking you are saving. On the booking form you tick SMS and email separately and add your own note to the message.
- SMS and email sending are ticked separately on the booking form
- A note specific to that booking is added to the message
- Both channels can be used together, or just one of them chosen
- The client's phone and email come from their card and are not retyped
Sending draws on credit, and the balance stays on screen
Sending an SMS uses credit. You follow the remaining balance on the Package Usage screen; it is a counter you see in advance, not a surprise deduction.
- Every send draws on credit
- The remaining balance is read on the Package Usage screen
- Booking reminder messages are included in the package; there is no separate subscription
- When the balance runs low sending stops, so a message does not disappear silently
What went to whom stays on the client's card
Sends stay in the Notifications tab on the client's card. Because the booking itself also carries arrived, no-show and cancelled statuses, whether the reminder did its job can be read from the record.
- The Notifications tab is on the client card and is visible based on permissions
- Booking statuses stay on the record as arrived, no-show and cancelled
- A client who no longer comes is not deleted but set inactive, and their history stays
- How many bookings were missed in a period is read from the revenue report
What changes
The difference between doing reminders by hand and tying them to a setting:
Frequently asked
How does the booking reminder reach the client?
The reminder is tied to a setting: you switch the notification on and decide the hour it goes out. The client gets the reminder at that hour the day before the booking. If you also want a send specific to one booking, you tick SMS and email sending while saving it and add your own note.
Do I pay extra for reminders?
No, booking reminder messages are included in the package. Sending draws on credit and you follow the remaining balance on the Package Usage screen; there is no separate subscription or module fee.
Can I send reminders over WhatsApp?
No. Bi'Salon sends booking reminders by SMS and email. There is no automatic sending over WhatsApp or Instagram today; because the client's number sits on their card, you can also write the message yourself.
Where do I see who a reminder went to?
From the Notifications tab on the client's card. Sends made to that person are listed there. The tab is visible based on permissions, so staff without them cannot open a client's notification history.
Do reminders reduce the number of no-shows?
It is something you can measure: because the booking record holds arrived, no-show and cancelled statuses, you read from the revenue report how many bookings were wasted in a period. You compare the period after switching reminders on with the one before. We are not promising a figure; you see it from your own records.
Do I set this up separately for every session of a regular client?
No. You create the booking as a recurring series: you give the interval and the repeat count, and all the sessions lay themselves out in the calendar at once. The reminder setting applies to every booking in the series. We describe the calendar in full on the salon booking software page.
Let's switch the reminder on together.
Leave your contact details and we will set the notification hour and the message text together on the phone.
